Byung-sam Kim assumed office as the 6th Commissioner of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority.

Following his inauguration ceremony on July 3rd, Commissioner Kim has actively engaged in various activities.
On July 5th, Commissioner Kim visited the development sites in Yeongcheon and Gyeongsan to assess the progress of the projects. Starting from July 7th, he is scheduled to visit the business zones located in Daegu and Pohang to inspect the specific progress and meet with relevant organizations. Commissioner Kim plans to maintain an on-site focused approach in his administration going forward.

In his inauguration speech, Commissioner Byung-sam Kim expressed his sense of responsibility, stating, "I feel a heavy sense of responsibility for the mission to attract core strategic industries such as medical, biotechnology, ICT, and robotics-related companies, and to revitalize the economic free zone." He emphasized the need to concentrate the Authority's capabilities on creating an innovative ecosystem for core strategic industries, enhancing tailored support for businesses, expanding the economic free zone, and designating new zones to establish the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority as a driving force for the growth of future industries.
