Heads of Member Organizations Meet for the Cultivation of the Medical Industry
 
  DGFEZ joined the “Meeting of the Heads of Organizations that Cultivate the Medical Industry,” featuring 10 organizations, including the Daegu Gyeongbuk Medical Innovation Foundation. It aimed to invigorate the medical industry in the region, including the Sinseo Meditech District. The meeting was held at Daegu Marriot Hotel on September 15 (Wed) at 11:00.

 This meeting, which was led by the heads of 10 organizations, presented collaboration programs that were identified during the work-level meeting (including the support program to promote the evaluation and utilization of medical data) and shared the achievements related to supporting the medical industry in the region. 

 The Meeting Body for Medical Industry Cultivation is joined by 10* public organizations in the Daegu region to advance the medical industry through a wide network of industries, universities, research institutes, and public agencies; identify and implement new projects; and connect industry support programs to maximize the benefits of such programs.

 As the first step in creating the DGFEZ innovation ecosystem, DGMIF, Daegu Creative Economy Innovation Center, Medicity Daegu Committee, Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, Korea Brain Research Institute, Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, NIA, Institute of Advanced Convergence Technologies, and DGFEZ signed an MOU to form the Meeting Body for Medical Industry Cultivation in December last year.
 
 This was followed by a move by DGFEZ and the DGMIF, which organized the Meeting Body for Medical Industry Cultivation with related organizations to create an ecosystem of innovation where Daegu became the base of medical industries after the COVID-19 outbreak.
 
 With this meeting, it is expected that the meeting body can be the venue for connecting and cooperating to form an innovative ecosystem through various programs that cover the cultivation of medical industries in the region, thus supporting the commercialization of innovative products.
 
 Mr. Sam Ryong Choi, the commissioner of DGFEZ, said, “We will build an innovative ecosystem for medical industries by proactively working with other related organizations so that Daegu can become the hub of medical industries around the world,” and added, “DGFEZ will do our best to help the growth of the companies that are related to medical industries in the region.”
