Leading Daegu to become a Smart city!
-Signing an MOU with Envision America-
 
Mayor Youngjin Kwon of Daegu Metropolitan City and the Daegu Gyungbuk Free Economic Zone Authority have signed an MOU with Envision America for the construction of the advanced Smart City. In attendance were Amy Aussieker, C.E.O. of Envision America, Commissioner Gun-woo Do, and personnel from Austin, Texas in the USA.
 
Envision America is the association of 10 Leading Smart Cities (including New York, Los Angeles, Charlotte, and Pittsburgh among others) anointed by the White House in 2015. The group has been solving problems faced by metropolitan cities such as transportation, energy and environmental concerns.
 
This MOU will allow the construction upgrade to make Suseong Medical District a successful Smart City that integrates the latest leading technologies.
 
Mayor Youngjin Kwon said, "Daegu will put forth to be a successful model and set the global standard of a Smart City by collaborating with Envision America and accepting advanced technologies and cases. "
