The Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority(DGFEZ) held its 5th DGFEZ Regulatory Innovation Council meeting at the Daegu Textile Complex on December 18. The meeting aimed to gather opinions on regulatory innovation initiatives, identify regulatory improvement tasks, and consult on support measures for tenant companies.
 
The meeting was graced by the presence of diverse committee members representing the private sector, government, academia, and research institutes, including Jinkwang Chemical Co., Ltd., Youngjin Co., Ltd., Computer Mate Co., Ltd., the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology, Gyeongbuk Technopark, Gyeongbuk Research Institute of Vehicle Embedded Technology, and the Gyeongbuk Gyeongsan Institute of Industry-University Convergence.
 
The DGFEZ Regulatory Innovation Council was established on March 2, 2021, with the purpose of identifying and improving unreasonable laws and regulations that hinder investment attraction, district development, and corporate management activities. It is currently an advisory body composed of 17 members. Its main functions include: ▲ Gathering opinions on regulatory innovation and improvement tasks ▲ Inspecting and evaluating the status of regulatory improvements ▲ Advising on corporate support measures related to regulatory reform.
