On the 21st, an investment agreement was signed between Daegu City, STS Robotech, and Rainbow Robotics at Daegu City Hall. This agreement includes the construction of an integrated AI robot system research center and a cooperative and service robot manufacturing plant known as Rainbow Robotics' Daegu Tech Center, as well as the consignment production of cooperative and service robots by STS Robotech.

STS Robotech Co., Ltd. is a robot system integration (SI) total solution company that has decided to relocate its headquarters from Busan to Daegu. Daegu is known for its well-equipped robot industry infrastructure. STS Robotech plans to build research facilities in Suseong Alpha City(one of DGFEZ's district) and manufacturing facilities in Daegu National Industrial Complex. 

Rainbow Robotics Co., Ltd. also intends to establish the Daegu Tech Center within the STS Robotech R&D Center in Suseong Alpha City. This center will be dedicated to research and development activities and active collaboration to support the development of Daegu's robot industry.

Meanwhile, Daegu recently passed a preliminary feasibility study for the National Robot Test Field project in Daegu Technopolis District of DGFEZ, laying the foundation for a global robot innovation city recognized as the "K-robot capital." With this investment agreement with Korea's leading robot company, Daegu expresses its ambition to make 2023 the first year for Daegu to become a hub for the robot industry by attracting more active robot companies in the future.
